Recreational opportunities abound just a few steps from the river pathway. Glenmore's centre for recreation includes Glenmore Athletic Park, Track and Velodrome, Glenmore Aquatic Centre, Lakeview Golf Course and Stu Peppard Arena. Glenmore Athletic Park incorporates flag football, soccer, softball and a baseball field within its borders. Athletic Parks are available for bookings between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week, during prime athletic park season May – September. Booking requests outside of these hours will be considered. The only velodrome in Calgary is located here. A field house with washrooms is provided for sports field participants. A running track is also provided with track and field amenities. A private tennis facility is located at the south end of the park.
