Southland Leisure Centre is one of the City of Calgary's world-class, award winning, 227,000 square foot multi-purpose recreation facilities. Since 1983 Southland has proudly served the citizens of Southwest Calgary, positioning itself as a Family Active Living Centre and serving as a community hub for all ages. Southland has a spectacular waterpark including a wave pool, dive tank, three exciting water slides, kiddies pool, hot tub, steam room and a fabulous Aqua Play structure including water guns, slides, and dump buckets. The pool also offers swim lessons and aqua fitness programs. Other key components are twin arenas which offer public skating and shinny hockey; dry sports areas which includes a 7,000 square foot weight room, a 4,300 square foot fitness studio, multi-use rooms, gymnasium, rock climbing, gymnastics gym, racquetball and squash courts, Playhouse classrooms and a kinder room for preschoolers. Southland is also a destination for birthday parties, day camps, and has babysitting available. Junior high students can come out for free after school activities Mondays to Thursdays between 3 and 6 p.m. and teens can drop in for Friday night exclusive teen time in the waterpark and gym.

Ed Whalen and Joe Kryczka Arenas are located within Southland Leisure centre and Tom Brook Athletic Park is located directly behind Southland Leisure Centre.
