The Glenmore Sailing School is located within city limits on the Glenmore Reservoir in southwest Calgary. The Glenmore Sailing School welcomes sailors of all ages and abilities. Sailing is a great individual and family sport. Come with us and enjoy the outdoors on the Glenmore Reservoir. The City of Calgary Recreation operates the boat rescue patrol, the Glenmore Sailing School and a range of boating-related services all in the middle of the city on the Glenmore Reservoir. We offer Canadian yachting Association (CyA) certification courses, non-certification courses and boat rentals. There are opportunities to experience the basics of sailing, work on improving existing skills, and even learn to race. Topics include safety, rigging, boat handling skills, terminology, knots, crewing and skippering when taking lessons with us. Find out more at calgary.ca/sailing.
